When I first moved to Faversham four years ago this was one of the first views that I sketched in my sketchbook as its very atmospheric place with the creek, boats and buildings with lots of character. The Oyster Bay House in this picture was also known as the Big Building, started life in around 1845 as a store for hops awaiting transport by sailing barge to London. Despite its name, this warehouse has nothing to do with oysters!

This artwork is of a high quality Giclee print on a lightly textured archival watercolour paper and will last many years to come. I have chosen Giclee printing for this painting as the colour quality match my watercolour and Inks exactly and the lightly textured paper is the same paper I use to paint on….it looks like a original painting even when seen close up.
